NEIL DIAMOND, and JOHNNY CASH tribute artists
NEIL DIAMOND is an American singer-songwriter. As a successful pop music performer, Diamond scored a number of hits worldwide in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Common themes in Diamond's songs are "a deep sense of isolation and an equal desire for connection. A yearning for home - and at the same time, the allure of greater freedom. The good, the bad and the ugly about a crazy little thing called love."
Bobby Bruce is NEARLY NEIL. He is an internationally renowned entertainer, a consummate professional. His outstanding voice and commanding stage presence have captivated audiences worldwide.
In 1994, Bobby took the stage in his tribute to Neil Diamond and a "legend" was born. Within two years the world-famous Las Vegas based "Legends in Concert" had selected him for their line up. As well, the Pacific National Exhibition awarded him Entertainer of the Year in 2006. Bobby has performed to the King and Queen of Malaysia - indeed returning to Malaysia a dozen times. His tribute to Neil Diamond has headlined numerous national tours of Canada, Australia and New Zealand. His Nearly Neil show has thrilled audiences in the Cayman Islands, Borneo, and Hawaii.
He just opened Western Canada's largest fair - the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) his fourteenth year running.
And now he'll open Hope Brigade Days.

Music: Johnny Cash Tribute
Daryl Weyman puts on a dynamic performance with his tribute to Johnny Cash. For Daryl Weyman, there is no greater rush than uttering, "HELLO, I'm Johnny Cash."
His frank baritone voice has an eerie similarity to the late "Man in Black". They also share that old rugged cowboy look. Daryl, a long distance truck driver who now spends "six days on the road," likes nothing better than to step up and sing his tribute songs and meeting people along the way.
As one of the original members of the Blue Ridge Dancers, people often told him that he looked and sounded like Johnny Cash. So when the opportunity presented itself in 1986, he began singing his tribute to the country music icon. Daryl states. "It is a real rush to bring so much pleasure to so many people."
