It's Saturday and there is much more to discover and enjoy!

On Saturday, things start bright and early with ED ARAKI at the foot of MOUNT HOPE for the annual HOPE HUSTLE up the mountain. To enter this popular, but vigorous event, click on the sidebar.

While that wilderness trail has a long (recent) heritage, the next event goes back to drawing attention to another trail that has not been in much use this century, yet was used and appreciated in the last century. It has had its roots in the previous century, an era that inspired the very festival we are celebrating now, BRIGADE DAYS.

With a trip to the historic aspect of BRIGADE DAYS, the official GRAND OPENING OF THE HUDSON BAY COMPANY (HBC) Trail begins at 9 am.

It's a short ten minute drive from HOPE. Where then the local CHAWATHIL DANCERS will perform for the local band CHIEF, Dignitaries and for all of us to enjoy! Click the sidebar HBC link for details.

We are very pleased that this year the historical aspect of our celebration will be amplified by the presence of the oldest, most prestigious, historical group, the YALE AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY, both in our PARADE, and at their inspiring and educational Booth after lunch.

In addition THE HOPE STATION HOUSE COMMUNITY ARTS and HERTIAGE SOCIETY are highlighting the "HISTORY OF THE TRAIN" with a series of posters. For more information their event is listed further down below.

Sponsored by THE HOPE AND DISTRICT RECREATION & CULTURAL COMMISSION, it proudly presents The OUTDOOR CLASSIC which takes place in the recently built outdoor Hockey and Basketball Court in the DOWNTOWN MEMORIAL PARK.

See the sidebar link for details on how to "Enter Your Team" and win the Prestigious Trophy on display at CHEYENNE SPORTING GOODS.

It all begins at 10 AM with a fun filled TOURNAMENT that includes a 3-on-3-Plus-Goalie Ball HOCKEY, and 3-on-3 BASKETBALL.

In the meantime the guys are preparing up at the 6th Avenue Fairgrounds Sports Pit (same location as the Sunday Demo Derby) for the 4 x 4 and Mini-Stock Car Race later in the day, presented by DUSTY SMITH with help by HOPE MOTOR SPORTS.

About the same time, the HOPE ROTARY CLUB starts assembling the famous annual PARADE which begins at 11:00 a.m. - Best Viewing is along Wallace Street. Bring your chairs, this wonderful event is something special the entire family will enjoy!

The PARADE then ends up back Downtown where BRIGADE DAYS kicks into another gear - from 12 Noon on the Fairgrounds will be buzzing and not just with Chainsaws, for there is so much more to discover and enjoy!

Right after the PARADE the famous Legion Pipers directly leave the PARADE and steps onto the MAIN STAGE to start the "AFTERNOON OF ENTERTAINMENT!"

At the same time the BRIGADE DAYS Festival proudly presents the First Nations Salmon Barbeque Lunch of 2010 Olympics Fame. Come and enjoy a wonderful feast and so much more.

The First Nations Salmon Barbeque is only on for "Two Hours", but don't worry the Concession / Food Court is open for the day.

The JOHNNY CASH Tribute Artist DARYL WEYMAN is back, from the FRIDAY NIGHT SHOW, and the ever popular JOHN MCLOUGHLIN AND FRIENDS are on too, with their 3rd return visit to the Festival.
